Medical Center road construction continues with Phase II

NewsCentral Staff

Road work around the Medical Center of Central Georgia is one step closer to completion.

Phase II of the project started this week. It involves the intersection at New and Pine Streets in front of the Emergency Center. The area will be re-paved, and the four crosswalks at that intersection will be recreated.

New Street will be blocked off from Plum Street Lane to the intersection, and Pine Street will remain closed from the intersection to Spring Street.

Improvements to the area are funded by SPLOST money, hospital funding and grants.
