Man arrested for allegedly carrying over 500 ecstasy tablets

Late Monday afternoon, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office released information on a Friday night ecstasy bust.

Bibb Sheriff's Drug Investigators arrested 52-year-old Eric Martin Smart Friday night around 7:30. Investigators say they got a tip from police in the Atlanta metro area that Smart would be traveling to Macon with ecstasy.

Investigators conducted a traffic stop on Pio Nono Avenue and allegedly found over 500 tablets of ecstasy. The tablets seized have a street value of approximately $5.000.

Smart is being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex charged with Trafficking Schedule I Drugs.
