Man Hospitalized After Jumping Off Macon Section of I-75

A man is hospitalized after jumping off an elevated portion of I-75 Thursday evening. Authorities responded to the call a little after 7 p.m.

WGXA has learned the man jumped about ½ mile south of the Pierce Avenue exit.

It was tough for emergency responders to get to the area where he fell, but they eventually made contact with him.

He's believed to have suffered either a broken leg or ankle. It's unknown what prompted him to jump.
