Man Arrested In Bibb Murder Case

Celeste Smith

A Macon man is behind bars accused of shooting a West Bibb County man to death after an argument over a vehicle this past weekend.

Lieutenant Sean DeFoe of the Bibb County Sheriff's Office tells NewsCentral, 28-year old Nathan Taylor is charged with Malice Murder in the death of 59-year old Walter Henley. Henley was shot multiple times at his home on Fulton Mill Road late Saturday night.

A warrant was issued Monday evening for 40 year old Willie Lee Bostic in connection with the fatal shooting. DeFoe says, Taylor has a history of using his brother, Willie Lee Bostic’s name.

During the investigation, deputies discovered that Taylor is the suspect involved in Henley’s murder. Investigators retracted Bostic’s warrants and placed Taylor under arrest late Tuesday night.

Taylor is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond. He is also charged with Parole Violation, and Obstruction-misdemeanor.

Anyone any information about the murder can call the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at (478) 746-9441.
