NewsCentral Staff

A Macon woman is out on bond from the Bibb LEC on charges that she skimmed nearly 5-thousand dollars from a local animal rescue group.

43-year-old Erin Roberts was arrested Wednesday and charged with fiduciary theft.

Roberts served as a volunteer for "Paws & Adopt", a local animal rights group.

The Telegraph reports the group's president noticed more than 47-hundred dollars in questionable transactions from the charity's bank account.

Roberts was released on a 45-hundred dollar bond.
