Macon Teenager Dies After Thursday Morning Car Accident

A Macon teenager has died after an early Thursday morning car accident in north Macon.

It happened just after 7 a.m. at Forsyth and Tucker Roads after an SUV and sedan collided.

One witness told WGXA that he knew immediately that the female passenger had died and the driver was in bad shape.

17-year-old Nashandra Finney was pronounced dead right after the collision. Finney was a student at Central High School where they are providing counseling for students that have been affected.

The accident is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.

At the time of this writing, Finney’s father was in surgery. His condition is unknown.
