Macon Teen Shot Tuesday Night

NewsCentral Staff

Macon Police are investigating a Tuesday night aggravated assault.

The incident took place on the 2000 block of Williamson Road.

A 17-year-old male told police that while he was walking down Williamson Road just before 10 p.m. Tuesday, he saw a brownish-gold Ford Taurus circling the area and heard a gunshot.

Three unknown black males dressed in black with black hoodies approached the teen. He heard a second shot and felt his left side become numb. When the 17-year-old fell to the ground, the three suspects allegedly demanded money and took his book bag. Someone then pulled up in the Ford Taurus and picked up the three suspects before driving away.

The victim walked home where his mother called the police. The victim was shot in the left buttocks and was transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia for a non life-threatening wound.

This case is under investigation by the MPD. If you have any information on these suspects or on the incident, please call the MPD at 751-7500 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
