Macon Police respond to local hospital in reference of person shot

Macon police are investigating an aggravated assault in the 3000 block of Ridge Avenue early Friday morning.
Public Information Officer Jami Gaudet says officers responded to Northside Coliseum hospital in reference to a person shot. They met with a female victim who apprised them she was shot while driving by the location in her car. Gaudet says the bullet grazed the women's ear.
Investigators do not believe that the female was the intended target of the shots fired. There are no suspects at this time and the case remains under investigation.
