Macon Shooting Happened During Home Invasion

WGXA has an update on a late night shooting that happened near Houston Avenue on Thursday evening.

Public Information Officer Jami Gaudet tells WGXA, officers responded to a home invasion and armed robbery call just after 8:00 p.m. at a home on Triple Hill Drive.

Gaudet says three men wearing masks entered the home and demanded money. During an altercation, a man inside the home was shot in the leg.

Gaudet says all three suspects got away with two flat screen televisions and cash. The case remains under investigation by the Macon Police Department.
