Macon Police Investigating North Macon Armed Robbery

Macon Police continue to investigate a Forsyth Road hold up that happened early Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to an attempted armed robbery at the Forsyth Food Mart which was formerly a BP convenience store, located at 4451 Forsyth Road in Macon.
According to an employee on the scene, a black male wearing all black entered the store. The suspect reportedly propped the door open with a rock before approaching the counter with a silver revolver in his hand and demanded money.
The suspect fled the scene on foot without money or merchandise. He ran toward the Rivoli Drive area after the employee informed him that he activated the alarm to alert police.
According to Macon Police, the suspect is described as a black male wearing a black stocking cap, black bandana covering his face, a long black coat, black pants, black gloves and black shoes with a white logo. He is approximately 5’6” tall and weighs 170 lbs.
Macon Police also added the following description information:
1. The suspect's hat appears to be a black skull cap.
2. Braided hair appears to be sticking out of the cap.
3. His jacket appears to be stylized - somewhat shiny with a hood that appears to have a modified ruffle.
4. The jacket has a long silver detail at the wrist and perhaps on the body.
5. The suspect's skin color appears medium.
