Macon Man Charged With Robbing Fish Port

Macon police arrest one man after he allegedly robbed the Fish Port on Montpelier Avenue Tuesday Morning.

Police say 32 year old Maurice Lamar Stewart was charged with burglary and marijuana possession after a store clerk at Fish Port said Tuesday Morning around 9 a.m the suspect forced open the screen door, burglarized an open safe and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

After police did an area search Stewart was found and questioned and then transported to the Bibb LEC. He was released shortly after midnight on Tuesday on a bond of $9,750.
