Macon Housing Authority Executive Director to retire

The long-time leader of the Macon Housing Authority is stepping down from his post at the end of the year.

Executive Director John Hiscox will be retiring. Hiscox has worked for the Housing Authority since 1981.

Housing Authority Board Chairman Johnny Walker says Hiscox will be sorely missed.

"We're very happy for John and Beverly, those of us at the housing authority are still kind of adjusting to the idea, it's a big loss," Walker said.

The Board, with the help of a consultant has already began a national search for a replacement
