Macon Coffee House Closing Its Doors

Celeste Smith

A popular downtown Macon coffee house is closing its doors after a decade in business on Friday.

Jon Beachy tells NewsCentral, the Joshua Cup Coffee shop is going out of business at the end of the week. Beachy says the decision to close the store was difficult and the business is grateful to it's loyal customers, employees, and the community.

Joshua Cup, a full service coffee shop, is known for it's specialty coffee and baked from scratch desserts. Beachy says he's sad to see the downtown store close, but is excited about new opportunities in the coming months.

The award winning coffee house opened on Washington Avenue in December of 2000.
