A Macon man is behind bars facing armed robbery charges after police say he stalked his victim before robbing him near Napier Avenue.

Public Information Officer Jami Gaudet tells NewsCentral, 20-year old Rashawn Scott is charged with Obstruction, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon During the Commission of a Felony, and Armed Robbery.

Gaudet says Scott and an accomplice followed a man walking on Ormond Terrace early Friday morning in a white sports sedan.

Gaudet says, Scott and another man got out of the car armed with handguns and robbed the victim of his wallet, cell phones and keys.

Officers stopped the pair at the intersection of Napier Avenue and Mumford Road from a description matching another similar robbery in the area.

Scott was arrested by officers at the intersection, his accomplice ran away from the scene.

He is being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond.
