MPD Officer Saves Drowning Girl

Macon Police Department Officer, Major Tonnie Williams is always prepared to protect and serve citizens no matter where he is.
Williams was vacationing with his family on Tybee Island, Georgia, near Savannah, and saved a 15-year -old girl from drowning last Thursday evening.
Williams says, it was no heroic jester, he adds he would have done it for anyone. "You saw a child in distress and you just had to respond. Just going to aid this child in distress to do whatever I could to aid this young person." he adds.
Major Williams spoke with the young girl that he rescued and she’s home and in good health.
