No Foul Play Suspected In East Macon Death

The discovery of a body at an east Macon apartment complex is under investigation by the Macon Police Department.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones tells WGXA, the body of a woman was found in the doorway of an apartment at the Pine Ridge complex on Old Clinton Road.

Jones says the female was discovered just before 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.


Public Information Officer Jami Gaudet tells WGXA, police do not suspect foul play in the death. Gaudet says officers are waiting on autopsy and toxicology results for confirmation.


The case remains under investigation by the MPD.
