A Macon downtown theatre hosted a onetime musical show that takes people back to the days of radio and salutes military personal.
The Grand Opera House presented "All Hands On Deck!" on Sunday.
The show is based on Bob Hope's 1942 USO Tour when he visited troops during World War II. The Grand Executive Director, Betsy Fitzgerald said the one time show is a tribute to service men and women and a way to say thank you for sacrificing their lives for America's freedom.
"Today's show is a hats off to them, she said. “We're celebrating a wonderful era of great music and a lot of sacrifice and having a little bit of fun here at The Grand.”
The Howard High School Vocal Ensemble joined the cast for a number towards the end of the show. The next performance at The Grand will be on Friday Oct. 5 featuring Chicago tribute band, “Brass Transit.”
