Laurens County Fire Kills One

An East Dublin man is dead after fire breaks out at his home Sunday night.

Georgia Insurance and Fire Commission spokesperson Glenn Allen told WGXA that 23-year-old Kenyardo O'neal died in the blaze along Rex Miller Road in East Dublin.

The cause is undetermined, but investigators are not ruling out unattended cooking as the cause of the fire.

The victim was sent to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy. Investigators are awaiting the results.

Allen says the loss of the home totaled 40-thousand dollars.
