Kroger Recalls Baked Cakes Sold in Georgia

NewsCentral Staff

Kroger grocery stores are recalling baked cakes that could prove harmful if you have allergies to pecans.

The recall applies to Mardi Gras king cake cinnamon bought between December 30th and early February in four southeastern states. They are Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and parts of east Tennessee.

Kroger says the cake may contain pecans. It's not listed on the product label and could be life-threatening to those with allergies to pecans.

If you bought one of these cakes, take it to your local Kroger for a refund.

For more information, you are asked to call Kroger toll-free at 800-KROGERS or 800-576-4377.
