Kids spend their Saturday making new friends

Clinton Bourgeois

Little ones spent the afternoon at the Georgia Children's Museum creating a special friend. For $10, kids were able to build their own teddy bear.

With as much stuffing as they like, they were able to choose between cats, dogs, dinosaurs and more.

Parents say it was touching to see their kids get so involved in the process.

"They got really excited to know that they actually brought it to life by stuffing it, building a little heart, all that kind of stuff," said Mercedes Evans.

Once the kids were finished putting their new buddy together, they were able to enjoy them in the playroom.

The Build-A-Buddy Workshop was part of the Museum’s Second Saturday promotion. Other upcoming events include a free Dr. Suess reading.
