Jones County Special Needs Student Left on Bus

A Jones County school bus driver is on leave after a special needs student was left unattended for hours on his bus.

It happened Tuesday morning at Dames Ferry Elementary in Gray.

That's where the ten year old was found, hours after he was picked up for school.

It's unknown how or why the boy stayed on the bus, but school officials and the Sheriff's Department is investigating.

The boy is said to be ok.
