Jones County Shelter Signs Pardon
Animals at the Jones County shelter get seven more days to live.
The organization "Paws for Hope and Faith" signed a pardon on Monday with the shelter's director at the Jones County Government Center. The pardon is an agreement between the director and organization that animals won't be euthanized for a period of time. This is the first pardon for the facility that has been known as a high kill shelter.
"We are just excited for this to take place and hopefully get some you know national exposure and getting people aware that they can adopt from their local animal shelters," Jones County Shelter Director Jennifer Giddens said.
There are 12 adoptable dogs but more animals are expected to come through the shelter this week.
