Jermontae Artez Moss Found Guilty of Murder

A Houston County jury has returned a guilty verdict in the murder trial of 18-year-old Jermontae Artez Moss for the murder of store owner Jose Marin in 2011.

The charges on which Moss was found guilty include: Felony Murder, Attempted Armed Robbery, Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Assault, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (firearm), and Possession of Firearm During a Crime.

Marin was the owner of a Mexican food store in Warner Robins. Prosecutors say the murder was the result of an attempted robbery by Moss in September of 2011.

Sentencing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
