Interactive map highlights healthiest, unhealthiest Georgia counties

Newly-released county health rankings show middle Georgia varying widely from 23rd to 142nd out of all Georgia counties.
Houston County ranks the highest at 23 for being the healthiest out of all Georgia counties. Dooly County ranks 26 and Monroe County ranks 37.
Least healthy county rankings show Wilkinson County coming in at 142, Bibb County at 139 and Bleckley County at 137.
The rankings look at the health and well-being of residents and base the information on several factors. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation study looks at childhood poverty, smoking rates, obesity levels, access to healthy food and several other factors. The study reviews all counties throughout the U.S.
Forsyth County has the best health ranking in Georgia.
