Injunction Filed Against Law Firm at Center of Macon Murder

NewsCentral Staff

A local law firm at center of a murder is now in more trouble.

WGXA reported last month that the Macon firm Pinkston and Associates closed its doors shortly after the murder of legal secretary Gail Spencer.

The law firm is scheduled to be in court Thursday for injunction. Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company has filed the injunction against Pinkston's firm.

The law firm allegedly has not forwarded funds to pay off the mortgage of Dr. Michael Russell and his wife. The Russell’s signed papers to sell their home on October 4th.

Commonwealth is requesting that a judge freeze Pinkston's trust account where money to cover real estate transactions is temporarily held.
