Houston Healthcare Takes New Steps in False Mammogram Suits

We’re learning more about lawsuits filed over alleged faulty mammogram results from Perry Hospital.
Houston Healthcare, which operates Houston Medical Center and Perry Hospital, has sought a gag order which alleges that the defendants suing the company have publicly talked about their medical issues relating to the suit.
According to Bibb County Superior Court records, 20 lawsuits are currently pending against Houston Healthcare and many of them have requested a change of venue back to Houston County by the health care company.
Rachael Rapraeger, a former radiology technician at Perry Hospital, allegedly entered negative results for more than 1,000 mammograms that were not reviewed by a radiologist. Ten were later determined to actually be positive, resulting in Rapraeger's indictment of computer forgery and misdemeanor counts of reckless conduct.
