A hospice company in Macon continues its clothing drive in order to help those less fortunate feel warm during the chilly months.
Hospice Advantage is extending their first ever Winter Coat and Hat Drive to December 10th. The clothing drive started last month but administrator Judy Wilson said they haven't received many donations. They’re looking for gently used clothes for kids and adults so they can donate them to a local charity in Macon. The drive started on a whim, but Wilson said she and her co-workers want to help as many people as possible feel warm during this time of year.
"We just want to bring warmth to the community,” she said. “There are people out there, who need coats and sweaters and gloves and hats and we just want to be able to bring that to the community, to help people who are less fortunate."
The company is accepting donations at their office located at 3902 Northside Drive, Suite 3B. You can also call (478) 474-4196 to receive more information on the clothing drive. Dent said she and others will also pick-up donations at homes.
