Missing Monroe County Man Found Following Helicopter Search

Authorities who were looking for 89-year-old Bill Kent who wandered from his property near Johnstonville Road in Monroe County say they found him just after 10 p.m. Monday night.

Monroe County EMA Director Matthew Perry says helicopters and dogs had been searching for the missing man since 7 p.m. Firefighters, sheriffs deputies, Georgia State Patrol troopers, and Georgia Department of Corrections search dogs all worked together to find him and return him home.

Perry is sending ‘thanks’ to everyone who helped in the search.
