Hart Announces Mayoral Bid

Bibb County Commission Chairman Sam Hart makes it official, throwing his hat in the ring to lead Macon-Bibb's new consolidated government. Wednesday at Mulberry Street Park, hart announced his campaign for mayor.
He laid out his platform of greater economic development and public safety. Hart says he's the man for the job. “We need a continuity of leadership, I am that continuity. I want you to think community as we move forward, let's create the future together,” Sam Hart state at his press conference.
Hart was elected as Bibb County Commission Chair in 2004 and re-elected to that position in 2012.
