Gov. Deal visits Dublin joint civic luncheon

DUBLIN, Ga. (AP) - Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal lauded the City of Dublin for its recent effort to install solar panels at a local high school.

Deal visited the city's joint civic luncheon Friday and was presented with a green blazer by State Rep. Matt Hatchett.

The Dublin Courier Herald reports during his address, Deal also said the city played a part in the state earning $49 billion in tourism dollars in 2011.

Dublin is about 55 miles southeast of Macon.
