Getaway Driver In SunTrust Bank Robbery Arrested

Macon Police say the getaway driver in a Vineville Avenue bank robbery is behind bars.

Public Information Officer Jami Gaudet tells NewsCentral, Nekimo Hunt, was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Atlanta on Tuesday and charged with armed robbery. Gaudet says Hunt is the getaway driver for Tameskia Moore, who is accused of robbing the Macon SunTrust Bank branch in late June.

Authorities believe Hunt is involved in eight additional bank robberies in the Atlanta area.

Moore is currently being held without bond in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center on an armed robbery charge.
