There are three 2012 legacy inductees being inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame from Central Georgia.
The members include Bob Sagesee of Macon, Lowry Stripling also known as Uncle Ned, of Macon, and Jim Popwell of Hawkinsville.
The 2012 awards will be hosted in Macon for the first time in the organizations history.
"One of the things is that this is the first time that the induction awards ceremony has been held outside of Atlanta. The previous five have been in Metro Atlanta. So it's real special for it to be in Macon and having inductees from Macon and Middle Georgia makes it that much more special.” said Ben Sandifer, member of the Board of Directors for The Georgia Radio Hall of Fame.
The three Central Georgia inductees are joined by 6 others as 2012 Legacies in radio history.
