NewsCentral Staff

Georgia's first lady Sandra Deal is promoting school bus safety.
Monday Sandra Deal made a stop at Springdale Elementary in Macon to help enforce the school bus stop arm initiative called "Stop means Stop."

The state board of education reports that on a single day in the state of Georgia there are more than 4,000 violations of cars passing school buses.

Deal says this campaign is a way to help make sure Georgia roads and children are safe.

The campaign will continue until August 24th.
