GDOT suspends construction-related lane closures for Labor Day

Good news for drivers hitting the road this Labor Day weekend.

The Georgia Department of Transportation has suspended all construction-related lane closures in west central Georgia.

GDOT says with heavy traffic expected, restrictions won't be lifted until Tuesday morning. GDOT still reminds drivers some construction projects close to a highway may still be going on and urges caution.
