GBI, Sandersville police investigating Thursday morning murder

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is helping the Sandersville Police Department in trying to solve Thursday morning's murder of a local man.

Special Agent Todd Lowery of the GBI's Eastman office tells WGXA, 54-year-old Sammie Lee Haynes was shot at his home just after midnight Thursday morning.

The GBI and Sandersville Police Department are following up on leads but are also asking for the public's help.
