GBI Investigating Telfair Prison Inmate Death

The death of a Telfair County Prison inmate is under investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Georgia Department of Corrections spokeswoman Kristen Stancil tells NewsCentral, a Telfair State Prison inmate was killed on Thursday. Stancil says the GBI is investigating the death as a homicide.

Telfair State Prison is located near Helena in Telfair County.
