GBI Conducting Interviews in Macon Officer Involved Shooting

The GBI says their investigation into the police-involved fatal shooting of a Macon man is continuing.

The GBI tells WGXA that they are currently interviewing witnesses in the December 21st shooting of Sammy Davis, Junior.

Davis was shot three times in the chest outside the Kroger Grocery Store on Pio Nono Avenue.

Macon police officer Clayton Sutton, a six and a half year veteran of the force is the alleged trigger man.

Sutton is currently on administrative leave pending the GBI investigation.
