Funeral services arranged for man shot in late August shooting

Funeral arrangements for a man who was shot to death in late August have been arranged.

Joel Taylor was shot at a residence at 101 Woodcrest Circle. Taylor later died at the Houston Medical Center. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 9 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.

The family is asking contributions be made to the Sickle Cell Disease Association at 231 East Baltimore Street, Suite 800, Baltimore, Maryland 21202.

Friends and family described Taylor as a very caring and loving person who enjoyed helping others and spending time with his family.
