NewsCentral Staff

Eleven year old Ruth Baldwin is being remembered Thursday at a funeral in South Carolina.
49-year old Cynthia Diane Baldwin-McClesky is still being held without bond at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center charged with child cruelty, felony murder, and child cruelty-family violence.
Sergeant Melanie Hofmann of the Macon Police Department tells NewsCentral, McClesky-Baldwin brought her granddaughter, Ruth Baldwin, to an urgent care center on July 26th.
She later died.
According to an arrest warrant, the grandmother denied the 11-year old food and water as a form of punishment.
The warrant also says the child had blunt force trauma injuries to her head and chest.
An autopsy found a history of blunt force trauma to over 80-percent of the victim's body including her chest, abdomen, arms, legs, and face.
The case remains under investigation by the Macon Police Department.
