Former 21st Century Partnership Director Ron Carbon dies

It was announced Thursday that former 21st Century Partnership Director Ron Carbon had passed away.

The 57-year-old retired Air Force Colonel had recently been diagnosed with cancer. Carbon died early this morning.

Carbon is credited with defending Robins Air Force Base back in 2005 when the Base Relocation and Closure Commission was eyeing cuts. In the end, RAFB gained hundreds of additional jobs.
