Flood Warnings Continue for Several Central Georgia Counties

Flood warnings continue for several central Georgia counties as area creeks, streams and rivers continue to rise even as the rain has come and gone.
Flood Warnings continue for the Ocmulgee River near Macon affecting Bibb, Houston, Jones, Monroe and Twiggs counties. The Ocmulgee Heritage Trail will remain under water in places.
Flood Warnings continue for the Ocmulgee River near Hawkinsville affecting Bleckley and Pulaski counties. Minor flooding is forecast on the southside of Hawkinsville along Gooseneck Lane. Residents in this area could be cutoff from reaching their homes.
A Flood Warning continues for the Ocmulgee River near Abbeville affecting Dodge, Telfair and Wilcox counties. Moderate flooding is forecast. Roads to homes along the west side of the river in Abbeville could become inaccessible.
A Flood Warning continues for the Ocmulgee River near Lumber City affecting Montgomery, Telfair and Wheeler counties. Flooding is expected for portions of the dirt parking lot area near the Old Balls Ferry Road Boat Ramp and just upstream and rightbank from the Georgia Highway 57 bridge. Minor flooding will also continue in the woodlands near the river.
A Flood Warning continues for the Oconee River near Oconee affecting Johnson, Washington and Wilkinson counties. Minor flooding is forecast. Water is likely to overflow into the Broad Swampy Flood Plain. Farm fields on the right bank could flood. General agriculture and timber interests are affected by this flooding. In addition, water is likely to reach the top of the boat ramp near the Highway 341 bridge.
Remember the rule 'Turn Around, Don't Drown'. You never know how deep standing water may be.
