Flint Energies helping restore power in Mississippi after Isaac

Aaron Leedy

Local utility crews are hard at work in Mississippi helping to restore electricity for residents who lost power due to Isaac.

Six linemen and five trucks from Flint Energies have joined more than 100 others from Georgia cooperatives who went to Mississippi and Louisiana for storm restoration.

Flint Energies crews arrived in Taylorsville, Mississippi helping Southern Pine Electric Power Association. Video was posted on its Facebook page of crews hard at work. They're helping set a new pole in Covington County.

Flint Energies says in a Facebook post lineman are always ready to serve their fellow co-op members.
