Celeste Smith

Georgia Forestry Commission firefighters are loading up and heading north to help fight a forest fire.

Public Relations Director Wendy Burnett tells NewsCentral crews are heading to Virginia to fight the Neighbor Mountain wildfire in the Shenandoah National Park. A lightning strike may be to blame for the 250 acre wildfire that began this past weekend.

The firefighters are expected to be deployed for two weeks.
