Firefighters Battle Monday Night Fire in Payne City

A central Georgia family is left with nowhere to go after a fire destroys their Payne City home Monday evening.

Fire officials say the family was inside when a fire broke out at their home on Kingsbury Drive. They escaped without any injuries.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze but not before it completely destroyed the inside of the house.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
