Finalists Named for Middle Georgia State College New Mascot

The list of new mascot names for the new Middle Georgia State College has gotten some interesting submissions.
In January 2013, Macon State College and Middle Georgia College will consolidate to become middle Georgia state college.
Students, Faculty and staff at Macon State and Middle Georgia colleges as well as the public are all invited to give input into the mascot name finalists.
So far the nine finalist names include the raptors, the flying tigers, the gladiators, the heat, the knights, the tigers, the ravens, the thrashers and the thunderbirds.
