Fatal Bibb County Shooting Under Investigation

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a fatal shooting that happened February 11th.

A media release states that according to witness statements, 60-year-old Kelvin Davis of Dry Branch went to see a female who lived at a Lancing Court address in the King's Park subdivision. Davis reportedly began to argue with other occupants of the residence.

During the argument, 51-year-old Kenneth Ardonis Tharpe allegedly brandished a gun and shot Davis twice in the chest.

According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, Davis was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia where he was later pronounced dead in the emergency room.

Tharpe is being held at the Bibb County LEC for the charge of felony murder.
