Ex-Warner Robins Councilman Prison Term Starts

Former Warner Robins city councilman John Williams will remain in custody after his bond was revoked by a federal judge.

A federal judge revoked his bond on Monday after learning that Williams had attempted to contact someone who had a relationship with a grand juror.

Williams was booked into the Bibb County LEC last night under the order of District Judge Marc Treadwell. A bond hearing in federal court was scheduled for this morning but Williams’ agreed Tuesday to start his 14 month prison sentence for federal extortion charges.

Williams will be placed temporarily in a local facility by the U.S Marshal Service until its determined which facility he will serve his sentence.
