Evidence shows Lamar County restaurant fire was intentional

The Lamar County Sheriff's Department has arrested a man in connection with a restaurant fire.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Brad White says 37-year-old Stephen Brehaut was arrested after evidence revealed he intentionally set the Lighthouse Restaurant on fire.

The blaze happened back on July 10th along Old Highway 41. Brehaut was arrested after a four-week investigation by the Georgia State Fire Marshall and Lamar County Sheriff's offices.

Brehaut faces charges of arson in the first degree.
