A Dry Branch man is shot and killed during an argument in east Bibb County.

Lieutenant Sean DeFoe of the Bibb County Sheriff's Office tells WGXA, Kelvin Davis,60, was shot twice in the chest late Sunday evening during an argument in the King's Park Subdivision.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones tells WGXA, Davis was pronounced dead at 12:29 a.m. on Monday at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Jones says an autopsy on the body is scheduled for Monday morning.

DeFoe says Kenneth Ardonis Tharpe,51, is charged with Felony Murder in the shooting death. Tharpe is being held without bond at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Investigators believe Davis went to see a female who lived on Lancing Court when an argument broke out and Tharpe shot Davis.

Anyone with any information about the murder is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-746-9441.
