Donate your spare change Friday to benefit the Alzheimer's Association

NewsCentral Staff

The Alzheimer's Association is hoping your spare change will add up in a big way.

"Coins for Cause" takes place tomorrow at McDonalds restaurants in Macon, Warner Robins and Byron. From 7 to 10 in the morning and then 5 to 10 in the evening, drive-thru customers can donate their spare change for a good cause.

"We need everybody's help. This is a global epidemic that we're facing here. Right here in Central Georgia, we've got 21,000 people that have Alzheimers. The money that you give to Coins for Cause is to provide care and support for them," said Director of Development Karen Kinsler.

All proceeds will go to the "Walk to End Alzheimers" in November.
Friday's "Coins for Cause" event coincides with Going Purple day. It's a day for people to wear purple for the Alzheimer's Association.
